What is CHAS?

The Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) is a Singapore government programme that provides subsidies for medical and dental care at participating GP and dental clinics for eligible Singaporeans.

Who is eligible?

All Singapore Citizens are eligible for CHAS. The subsidy tier depends on household monthly income per capita:

  • CHAS Blue — household monthly income per capita ≤ SGD 1,100 or no income with annual value of property ≤ SGD 13,000
  • CHAS Orange — household monthly income per capita between SGD 1,101 and SGD 2,000
  • Merdeka Generation (MG) and Pioneer Generation (PG) cardholders receive additional subsidies

How to apply

  1. 1.Apply online at www.chas.sg or visit any Community Club/Centre
  2. 2.You will need your NRIC, household income documents, and utility bill
  3. 3.Processing takes approximately 3–4 weeks
  4. 4.Your CHAS card will be mailed to your registered address

What is covered?

  • GP consultations and medications
  • Dental treatments (scaling, extraction, dentures)
  • Chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, asthma)
  • Mental health consultations at selected clinics

Find a CHAS clinic

Search for CHAS-participating clinics at www.chas.sg/clinic-locator. Look for providers in the REFRAME directory who accept CHAS.
