Home Caregiving Grant (HCG)

The Home Caregiving Grant (HCG) provides monthly cash support to eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs with moderate to severe disability who are being cared for at home by family members.

How much is the grant?

  • SGD 400/month for those who are not on any means-tested subsidised programme
  • SGD 200/month for those already receiving other means-tested support

Eligibility

The care recipient must: - Be a Singapore Citizen or PR - Have moderate to severe disability (unable to perform at least 3 of 6 ADLs) - Be living at home (not in a residential care facility) - Not be receiving the Seniors' Mobility and Enabling Fund

How to apply

  1. 1.Submit an online application at www.aic.sg or visit an AIC Link near you
  2. 2.A nurse assessor will visit the home to assess the care recipient's disability level
  3. 3.If approved, cash is credited monthly to the caregiver's bank account

Tips from the community

  • The assessment can take 4–6 weeks. Apply early.
  • The grant goes to the caregiver, not the care recipient
  • You can use the grant for any caregiving-related expenses
